She's on the billboard! π
Last month, we shared the exciting news that Stella, a talented 4th grader at Jefferson Elementary School in Pierre, won the Central South Dakota Work Zone Awareness Artwork Contest β and yesterday, her winning design became a reality in a big way.
Representatives from Morris, Inc., the South Dakota Department of Transportation (SD DOT), and the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of South Dakota gathered with Stella in front of her very own billboard to celebrate this incredible milestone.
Stella's artwork is now visible throughout the Pierre area, reminding drivers every day about the importance of work zone safety. It's hard to put into words how proud moments like this make us β seeing a young student's creativity make a real-world impact is exactly why we love being part of this community.
Congratulations again, Stella. You are a rockstar! π

Watch this nearβmiss caught on our dashcam. This is a reminder to be patient on the road β it isnβt worth risking a life. Our drivers have families waiting at home; help us ensure they β and everyone on the road β can return safely each night. Obey traffic laws and give truck drivers the space they need to do their jobs. If you got it, ate it, or used it β a truck brought it. If our driver hadnβt let off the accelerator, this would have ended very differently. #HugATrucker #RoadSafety #ShareTheRoad ... See MoreSee Less

πCongrats to Logan Dahl for winning Employee of the Month for April! π
Logan works in our Ag-Irrigation Department. Logan is a Pierre native who worked for a few years at Meyer Services Inc. in Volga, SD before moving back to Pierre in 2014 with his wife, Sasha. Together they have two children, Adalyn (6) and Caleb (4).
Logan says the best part of his job is being able to provide irrigation services to local farmers and having the opportunity to learn new things every day. Outside of work, Logan is also an avid fisherman who enjoys spending time on the water.
Thank you, Logan, for all that you do at Morris! Congratulations!
