Morris, Inc. wins 2025 AGC of America Build America Award in the Utility Infrastructure category

2025 Employee of the Month Winners
Brayden grew up in Mitchell, South Dakota, where his family still lives — including his dad Chris, mom Amy, and sister Ashlynn, who’s heading to the University of Minnesota Morris this August. Before joining us, Brayden was a full-time student at Dakota State University while working in food service and delivery. Now, he’s enjoying getting to do what he loves most: messing around with technology! He’d also like to give a big shoutout to everyone at Morris for creating such a fun and welcoming work environment. We’re lucky to have you on the team, Brayden!
February Employee of the Month Winner – Kody Demory
Congratulations to Kody Demory from the Mechanic Shop for winning Employee of the Month for February 2025! Born and raised in Odessa, TX, Kody has brought his strong work ethic and dedication to Morris, Inc., where he appreciates the variety in his daily tasks and the opportunity to always be doing something different. Before joining the team, he worked at Peitz Heating and Cooling and WW Tire, gaining valuable experience that he now applies in his role. Outside of work, Kody enjoys life in Pierre with his girlfriend and their soon-to-arrive baby, embracing the exciting journey of fatherhood. His hard work and positive attitude make him a valued part of the Morris family —congratulations, Kody!
January Employee of the Month Winner – Stuart Scott
We’re thrilled to recognize Stuart Scott as our Employee of the Month for January! Born in Hailey, Idaho, and raised in sunny Paso Robles, California, Stuart brings a unique blend of experience and personality to our team. Before joining us, he spent time teaching English at Chongqing University of Technology in China, sharing his knowledge and passion with students abroad. Now, he’s making an incredible impact closer to home, improving the community every day—something he says is his favorite part of the job.
Stuart shares his life with his wonderful girlfriend, Anita, and while the rest of his family is spread out across the country. Known for his sense of humor, Stuart welcomes all your California jokes and promises he won’t take offense! His positive energy, dedication, and commitment to making a difference inspire us all.
Morris wins 2023 South Dakota Associated General Contractors Build South Dakota award
We are thrilled to announce that Morris, Inc. has been honored with the 2023 South Dakota Associated General Contractors Build South Dakota award for the work performed at the South Dakota Capital Lake Dredging Project! This recognition is a testament to the exceptional dedication and hard work of our incredible team. Our employees consistently demonstrate a commitment to safety, excellence, innovation, and quality work.
As a recipient of the 2023 Associated General Contractors of South Dakota Build South Dakota Award, Morris, Inc. had the opportunity to donate $500 to the charity of their choice. The employees chose to support the Boys & Girls Club of the Capital Area-Pierre, contributing to the club’s continued mission in our communities.
