This past weekend (June 7th and 8th) was the Morris Annual Steak Fry, Fishing Tournament and Fish Fry.

June Employee of the Month Winner Jose Magana!
Congrats to Jose Magana for winning Employee of the Month for June. Jose works in our Mechanic Shop and this summer he has been working in the Aggregate Department with the crushing crew. Jose loves working at Morris because of all the opportunities to learn new things and he enjoys helping others. He has 10 siblings, 3 brothers and 7 sisters, and was born and raised in Mexico. He came to the United States when he was 18. Before working at Morris he worked for the City of Fort Pierre. Thank you Jose for all that you do at Morris! Congratulations!
May Employee of the Month Winner Darrel Davis!
Congrats to Darrel Davis for winning Employee of the Month for May. Darrel is the Payroll Administrator and has been with Morris for just under a year. He has lived in the Pierre area since 1977 and before that he lived in North Dakota. He lives with his wife, Shana and nephew, Nathaniel. He came to Morris from working at the State of South Dakota and then for the Pierre Public Schools for 12 years. He enjoys working at Morris and likes helping all employees and making sure they get paid each week! When he isn’t making sure we all get paid he enjoys riding his ATVs and exploring the Hills Area. Thank you Darrel for all that you do at Morris! Congratulations!
April Employee of the Month Winner Clint Habeck!
Clint Habeck from the Fabrication Department was our Employee of the Month Winner for the month of April. He is the lone machinist and has been at Morris for 20 years. He is from Yankton, SD and after attending high school he joined the Marine Corp. He was in the Marines for 6 years then working a couple of years at Wilson Trailer and Ruebes Welding before coming to Morris. He has a wife, Missy and two boys, Ryan and Trevor. Ryan is currently attending the Air Force Academy and Trevor will be graduating this year and plans on going to SDSU in the fall. In his free time you would find him out with his family enjoying hunting and fishing. He is a huge supporter of the Pierre Jr Shooters and enjoys traveling for the matches. Congrats Clint!!

February Employee of the Month Winner Chad Muntefering!
Chad is originally from Kennebec, SD and currently lives in Pierre with his wife, Kari; daughter Jazmyn; and son Dillion. Chad came to Morris from 13 years of working at Hendricks Air Ride in Mitchell, SD. When asked what he likes best about his job he stated that he likes figuring out customer projects and learning new things.

January Employee of the Month Winner Chris Pierce!
Chris comes to Pierre from Vermontville, Michigan. He has 4 older siblings, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. In his past life, he worked with farm work, warehouse, assembly line and janitorial jobs.
He started in the Asphalt crew this season and moved to Rod Dowling’s crew. His own words: “I believe in Morris! I could not ask for a better company to work for and I hope to one day to be one of the best employees you could ask for!”
