The
Manufacturing Department of Morris, Inc. is able to
design and fabricate most any structure to fit your
needs. Using state of the art equipment and
software tools, our experienced staff can create
specific assemblies for your customized project.
Our
primary focus in the Manufacturing Department is
designing and manufacturing equipment for the mining
industry. Air jigs use an innovative air technology in a dry
process to separate fine negative materials from
coal generating a higher marketable product.
Water jigs use a wet process of running water
through the material to create layers of grains
according to their density. Water jigs are
used in the coal and aggregate industries while air
jigs are used specifically for coal separation.
To design
and create your custom project, we use the latest
software versions and releases. Our skilled
and talented mechanical designer has the ability
to save on research and development costs with the
use of AutoDesk software programs, AutoCAD 2009 and
Inventor 2009. The use of a 3-D modeling
program allows our designer to skillfully create
your assemblies in a virtual environment giving you
the ability to approve the final assembly of your
project before fabrication begins.
In
addition to the latest software tools, our
Manufacturing Department uses state of the art
equipment. A plasma cutter with a 10' x 20'
water table cuts
1 1/4" carbon steel to any
shape that you desire. This powerful machine is
only limited by your imagination with its ability to
create decorative panels, figurine cut outs,
machining equipment, and much more. A
hydraulic press brake allows us to bend up to 5/8"
thick mild steel. With the ability to create
10' long bends and the power of 300 tons, the press
brake allows us to form steel in shapes for many
uses. Our welding capabilities include the use
of two water cooled MIG welders which are capable of
regular arc welding, spray arc welding, and pulse
arc welding.
