2020 Employee’s of the Month
December Employee of the Month Winner Matt Radke!
December’s Employee of the Month winner is Matt Radke. Matt moved from Nebraska to Pierre in 2020 and started working at Morris. He has been married to his wife, Denise for 28 years and has an adult son Taylor. He moved to Pierre to be closer to his son and to take in the fishing and hunting opportunities the Pierre area and Missouri River offer. He worked with the Nebraska DOT for 22 years before starting his new career at Morris. Matt likes working at Morris because of the support and camaraderie from everyone. Thank you Matt for your contribution to Morris!

August Employee of the Month Winner Duwayne Broyles!
August’s Employee of the Month winner is Duwayne Broyles. He is originally from Hot Springs, SD. He comes from a large family of five sisters and 7 brothers. He works for Morris during the summer season and lives in Hot Springs in the winter months. He has a background in construction, grounds maintenance and some factory work. He has enjoyed his 20 years of working at Morris because of the variety of tasks and jobs each season. Thank you Duwayne for your contribution to Morris!
July Employee of the Month Winner(s) David Wines, Zach Martin, Nick McGinnis!
Zach Martin (right)
Zach enjoys working for Morris and likes the scenery and the people he works with. He grew up in Chamberlain, SD with his parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Zach is also a twin! Before he came to work for Morris he worked at Red Rossa as a chef.
David Wines (middle)
David comes from a large family of 7 sisters and 2 brothers. His prior work history before Morris was working at a chemical plant, a wildlife refuge and was a supervisor for a demo company in Houston, TX. He enjoys working for Morris and loves that he is on a crew that gets to move and work in different places.
Nick McGinnis (left)
Nick grew up in Faith, SD then later lived in Lemmon, SD where he graduated. His family consists of one bio brother, three step-brothers, one step-sister and one half sister. He worked at the Edgebrook Golf Course in Brookings, SD for 10 years prior coming to Morris, Inc. He really enjoys working outside and meeting new people while flagging in the Badlands. He also likes the comradery of his co-workers and hopes to keep working at Morris for years to come.
June Employee of the Month Winner Arlin Decoteau!
June’s Employee of the Month winner is Arlin Decoteau. He works in the Tire Shop. He was born and raised in Belcourt, North Dakota. He worded at Marion Construction Company driving truck before joining Morris as a tire mechanic. He enjoys working with his co-workers and helping other when he can. He tries to keep a good attitude at work. He enjoys his off time with his girlfriend, daughter, step-daughter and two cats. Congrats again for winning Employee of the Month Arlin!
May Employee of the Month Winner Tony Adamson!
February Employee of the Month Winner Dick Adamson!
He has worked at Morris for the last 8 years in the Finance Department as the Controller. He came to Morris in 2011 during the historic floods. Dick owned his own construction company – Adamson Construction – before coming to Morris. Dick was instrumental in running one of the crews and did an excellent job! Thank you Dick for your contribution to Morris and the City of Pierre.
Annual Morris Fishing Tournament
Social Distancing at it’s best!
The Morris Annual Fishing Tournament was held on a blustery June 13th!
There were 6 teams this year for the Morris Annual Fish Tournament.
One Out of the Money took First Place with over 15lbs and 7 fish! Congrats to Griz and his team!
Team Reed took 2nd place with just over 14lbs and 7 fish! Congrats to Ryen Reed and his team!
Team Anglerholics took 3rd place with just under 13lbs and 7 fish! Congrats to Andrew Forest and his team!
The winner for Biggest Walleye was One Out of the Money!
Morris, Inc. Awarded Dillion Pass Embankment Project
Congratulations to Morris, Inc. for being awarded the Dillion Pass Project in the Badlands National Park!
The purpose of the project is to stabilize a section of deteriorating roadway to ensure the safety of visitors on this vital transportation corridor. Stabilizing the roadway and slopes adjacent to the roadway will ensure a quality visitor experience, provide a safe transportation corridor, provide access to the residents.
Construction: Spring – Fall 2020
The Project will include repair work on the historic Loop Road, removal of an abandoned culvert, and reconstruction of the roadway embankment. The Project will also include clearing the plugged culvert and completing revegetation efforts on all new construction and disturbed areas within the project limits. Project also comprises 1.2 miles of rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Bigfoot Pass area.
